Our 500-hour Teacher Program prepares licensed beauty professionals to sit for the Pennsylvania State Board of Cosmetology Teacher License exam and step confidently into a classroom of their own. The Power Journey is a program developed by school founders Kayla and Dianna. The course aims to strengthen the personal leadership side of teaching by helping build your personal skills along with your professional ones.
The Teacher Program is 500 hours, as required by Pennsylvania for cosmetology teacher licensure eligibility. Your completion timeline depends on attendance and personal progress, and the admissions team can help you understand the schedule during your Discovery Tour. After successful completion of program requirements, graduates can be eligible to sit for the Pennsylvania State Board Teacher License exam.
Teacher training focuses on how to teach, not just what to teach. You can learn about lesson planning, classroom management, and other skills educators need. You can assist our experienced educators in the classroom as they train the next generation of beauty professionals. Work alongside students and learn to give them feedback using your professional experience as the foundation for your lessons. The program is designed around Pennsylvania’s requirements for teacher licensure and supports eligibility to sit for the State Board exam after successful completion.
